This restoration starts with a custom made frame for a C2 body and C6 power. Notice the use of coil springs and shocks front and rear. Nice!
The motor for this project is a killer LS3!
The body for the project is a well loved 1965 C2 with black paint. The C6 power train and custom frame married to this stunning C2 body will provide a totally unique driving experience.
Body is seperated from the original frame. Several modifcations are required before the body can be painted a fit to the new frame.
Body has been tubbed, painted and attached to custom frame.
Body maintains the original two taillights per side configuration, but room has been made in the storage area to accommodate the new wider tires.
Under the hood is a new LS3 engine.
Custom wheels are setoff by a more aggressive stance.
Wheels now sit up in the fender wells for a cleaner look and better handling.
Coil springs provide for a very smooth ride and incorporating an independent rear differential greatly enhances not only the ride but also handling. Independent differentials allow the wheels to travel "independent" from each other ensuring that the tires remain in contact with the road surface. This is not your Dad's C2. :-)
Cutouts for rear speakers. Notice the sound deadening material behind the cutouts, so you can hear those speakers.
Can you picture yourself driving this car when it's all back together? I know I can.
